Many Paths Are Pointing to New Energy Rising!

It's a powerful time: the start of the Chinese New Year (Fire-Horse), Lent and Mardi Gras from Christianity, Ramadan from Islam, and the start of a new moon cycle. Lots of new beginnings, which always bring hope and excitement.

All three mark a reset point in the year and invite us to step into a new version of ourselves.

  • Ramadan brings spiritual renewal through fasting and prayer.

  • Lent is a 40-day journey of reflection, repentance, and preparation for rebirth at Easter.

  • Chinese New Year—especially the Fire Horse year—is a turning of the energetic cycle, symbolizing a fresh start and a surge of momentum.

The central theme is letting go of the old and consciously embracing the new.

As winter is slowly melting into the hope of spring here in the northeast, we want to set our trajectory for spring growth.

The spring is known as the wood season in traditional Chinese medicine, when the energy from the winter water season begins to sprout, giving rise to new ideas and inspiration.

This is similar to Fire-Horse energy, where momentum rises and is rearing to go! But when riding a horse, let alone a fire horse, we need to have a secure grip on the reins to lead this momentous energy in the right direction.

So we first observe where we want to steer this strong energy. What wants to come forth? And this can be a goal to pursue or a way of being that will affect everything we do.

What upgrade would benefit ourselves and everyone around us?

One way to upgrade is to feel better. When we don't feel good about ourselves or confident, it's hard to serve and benefit others. We're often left complaining and emitting heavy, depleting energy. Taking care of ourselves is primary, so that we can show up with strength for those around us who need support.

Another clue is to notice our shortcomings and practice the opposite. What we practice gets stronger, so observing our behaviors, thought patterns, and their effects is a worthy pursuit.

If we're constantly speaking negatively about the state of the world, we contribute to negativity and bring ourselves and others down. This is extremely common these days and takes real effort to shift and speak about positive changes that are happening, or inspiring people and events that bring about hope.

Remembering that our energetic ripple effect is our greatest legacy, taking care of ourselves by moving our bodies to release stress and breathing deeply to calm and clear the mind will help us upgrade so we can be the person who is inspiring and grounding to be around.

Hope to breathe with you soon.

From my heart to yours~

Namaste,

Maggie
